Brickyard Road Mine operates a sand and gravel
pit near Phenix City, AL. The site is bordered by
the Chattahoochee River on one side and was
once an old pecan farm.

We were certified by the Wildlife Habitat Council
in 2005. Be sure to look at the
Wildlife at Work
application in the "wildlife projects" link above.
Through this partnership, Lafarge Aggregates
Southeast has committed to conserve wildlife
habitat and preserve the environment for future
generations.

Recently, Lafarge Group became the first in our
industry to be named a World Wildlife Fund
"Conservation Partner" and Lafarge North
America joined with the Wildlife Habitat Council
(WHC) to help create or enhance wildlife habitat
at many of our sites.

The worldwide efforts that Lafarge has made to
preserve biodiversity and restore the ecobalance
of quarries and forest through the participation of
numerous sites in these activities is one way we
are fulfilling our vision of "achieving global
leadership in local businesses through
excellence in "multi-local" management."
