Clayton County Quarry is located about three
miles from Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport
and was a source of materials for the
construction of the fifth runway. According to
Clayton County's website, "Clayton County is
one of Georgia's smallest counties in land size
with an area of 146 square miles. Yet, with more
than 251,800 residents, it is one of the most
densely populated."
