Keeping the community involved is important to
us at Lafarge Aggregates Southeast's Cumming
Quarry. One of the ways we do this is through
participation in the local Adopt-A-School program
which allows interaction between our operation
and the school we have "adopted," Dave's Creek
Elementary. We regularly assist with festivals
and have helped construct an outdoor
classroom. Parents appreciate the active
participation they see from Lafarge within the
school.

In addition to our outreach within the school, as
many as 1000 visitors come to the site each year
for tours, open houses, field trips, etc. During
these visits, we explain our operations and
measures we take to be environmentally
responsible members of the community. We
recently underwent a successful rezoning that
we attribute largely to the positive image Lafarge
has developed within the community.

Through community involvement that highlight
our commitment to being a valued part of the
community, Lafarge Aggregates Southeast is
ensuring our continued ability to grow our
operations, thereby "delivering the value creation
that our shareholders expect."
